Canada News - Express Entry

Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Christopher Alexander, formally announced that it will launch "Express Entry, a new Immigration program for Canada on January 2015.

Express Entry formerly called the Expression of Interest is designed to meet Canada's regional labour shortages and help fill open jobs for which there are no available Canadian workers. Express Entry will be available to Skilled immigrants and will help the Canadian Government choose the best candidates who will most likely succeed in Canada.

Processing time for this program can be six (6)months or less.

This program will be integrated to four economic streams:

1. Federals Skilled Worker Program - FSWP
2. Federal Skilled Trades Class program - FSTC
3. Canadian Experience Class - CEC
4. Provincial Nominee program - PNP (a portion of the PNP)

Those who would like to apply must make sure that they have prepared key requirements in their application.

Documents that will prove their Personal History, Education documents and Regulatory body assessment results, Work History and Certifications, Language proficiency and settlement plan as well as Police certificate and eventually medical assessments done ahead of time or within the prescribed timeline.

This would take time that is why those who are serious about their plans for Canada would do well to start preparing right away - Right now!

Although, it is not yet clear this program may also have a Cap or quota that is why only those who plan ahead will have the advantage or edge to succeed in this program.
