Skilled Worker Category
The Skilled Worker Category is an employer driven process that is intended for skilled
occupations (National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix Skill Levels O, A, B - to qualify you must have - to
qualify applicant must have a Job offer from an employer at the North West Territories in Canada.
Critical Impact Worker
Contract workers currently in the NWT in Canada in job classification C - Semi Skilled and D - low skilled, can apply to be
nominated at NWT Nominee program provided they have a valid work permit and have worked for the same position for at least
6 months.
Entrepreneur Business
NWT program is also looking for Investors who are willing to - Invest a minimum of $300,000 CDN equity into starting or
buying a business within the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife; minimum of $150,000 CDN equity; have a personal networth
of least $500,000 CDN if starting or buying a business within the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife; At least $250,000
CDN if starting or buying a business outside the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife, NWT; Have an additional $75,000
kept in a trust account.
The investor and accompanying dependents will be nominated to become permanent residents
Self-Employed Business
The self-employed category of the Nominee Program is designed to attract professionals who can provide a service that is
in demand in the NWT by establishing business outlets or professional practices.
